ABOUT Dr. Remi Edouard Chehade

Dr. Chehade completed a Bachelor of Science at McGill University in 1990, and graduated from physiology with honour distinction. He received his medical degree from McGill University Faculty of Medicine and minor in surgery (MDCM) in 1994. He went on to complete his medical residency in Family Medicine residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Montreal, Quebec in 1996.

Dr. Chehade in 1996 began to work in Cowansville, Quebec a rural site associated with McGill University, where he established a family practice, which included working in the emergency department at Brome Mississquoi Perkins Hospital. Dr. Chehade was involved during this time with training of future family doctors, and was a Faculty Lecturer at McGill University Faculty of Medicine from 1996 – 2008.

In 1999, Dr. Chehade obtained his certification from the College of Physicians and Surgeons on Ontario, and began also working in the emergency department of the Hawkesbury General Hospital. There he was nominated chief of the emergency department from 2005-2012.

During his work in the emergency department of both hospitals, Dr. Chehade has acquired expertise in treating patients of all ages.

In 2008, poor medical working conditions combined with an interest in preventative medicine, led Dr. Chehade to disassociate himself from the public medical system in Quebec. His desire to provide high quality patient care, in a calm personalized atmosphere was a primordial reason for starting a private practice.

In addition to practicing family medicine, managing ongoing medical conditions, and preventative medicine, Dr. Chehade has also developed an interest in providing procedure based services to his patients. He is qualified to do sutures, remove minor dermatological lesions, and is trained in aesthetic injectables.
